I love plein air painting. I sat by the little stream for an hour or so painting the bridge, the water falling into the stream, the stairs to the water where the villagers washed their clothes in the medieval days. In the background there is a gate to a chateau and a bridge house occupied by a villager. My painting adventure was interrupted by a call for lunch. Mmmmm. Fabulous cheeses, which smelled like a cow barn, crusty fresh french bread, croissants, salads, duck pate, foie gras, and french pastry's. Did I forget to mention the wine? I love picnic's in France, eating in a park or off the tailgate. Just like we once did. I shall return again.
