There they go! One of our favorite trails when the kids were little was the loop up Elk Pass in the Kananasksis. It was a long loop but we would take the kids thinking there was nothing to it. Sabra would get stubborn and say she wouldn't ski any further. She would lay down in the snow until I bribed her with chocolate and tell her we would soon be there. The kids will always remember "Its just around the next corner".
Now that they are all grown up they appreciate the fact that they are fabulous snowboarders, and skiers. When they get older they will return to cross country skiing. Stephen has! Sabra wants to and Courtenay is undaunted by the steepest black diamond runs. The grandkids can out ski adults and baby Ophelia will be out there soon.
I guess I am skiing with my paintbrush as I sit here in the wheelchair looking out at the snow!
